Tts issue - please help

Hi all sent this msg to Steve cole at tts but not sure if he's on holidays etc.

Can anyone shed some light on this problem.

I have a 2007 flstf with the blue tts. Have used this for a while without issue.

Last night I pulled the main fuse on the bike (orange coloured) to disconnect power as I was changing the fuel level sensor.

Tonight I had reviewed spark data from past flight recording, adjusted spark tables in a cal and tried to flash a new tune but I can't even get ECM info. It says vin not found, ECM pn not found, cal Id not found, and ECM status not responding.

I have disconnected and turned everything off and on and reconnected but nothing changes. I can't flash new tune or even restore my mte file.

The only thing I haven't done is start up the bike as it's too late right now so not sure if the bike even runs.

    Thanks for any help.

Checked all connections and drivers/ports and no issues there.

    Power is on bike.

Updated tts firmware and software but still nothing.

Tts is trying to get info from bike but gets nothing. It falls over at 30% of the get ECM info process.

I don't think these tuners (no matter what brand) are 100% bullet proof. I bought a TTS blue dongle and the bloody thing said it was locked to another bike from day one.

The replacement unit they supplied has worked faultlessly.

Did you find out what was wrong with your unit or what procedure caused the fault? It might be of help if anyone else ends up with the same issue.

    Hi
Steve is emailing me back and forth to diagnose and help. You cannot fault his service and commitment to his customers and product. I have used this tts for a while and found it very reliable, intuitive and with the manual it walks you thru tuning. I don't think any hardware or software is 100% bullet proof (even the biggest companies in the world demonstrate that in apple and microsoft). Throw into the mix that home tuners like me and their computers and the complexity and scope for issues is there for any product. As long as such products are as close to reliable as possible and I think the tts is well in this category. Not too many probs seem to arise and many are user errors. And when the odd issue arises, Steve himself intervenes and helps. You don't see that around too often.

Not gonna speculate the fault yet but data master is recording and recognising the ecu so that's a positive and narrowed down the issue.

Thank Christ this is now sorted. Steve was helpful and I think what has happened was when I was fiddling with mastertune last night, I tripped on my laptop power cable and the power went. I uninstalled mastertune and the drivers and reinstalled and it all works perfectly again now. Phew

Yeah I was a bit on edge Chriso. I was initially concerned I may have somehow corrupted the ecu. Bike started ok so I thought I'd be ok for the trip. My bike got a shit tank of fuel in batemans bay and I wanted the bike to be running and without any problems. So now it's ok and my tts and ecu are fine I've pulled some timing to insure against shit fuel.

Yes , max power to the battery of the bike ( I ALWAYS PUT A BATTERY TENDER ON !! ) , either hard wired or crocodile clipped onto the battery..

Laptop ALWAYS plugged into the mains , and yes I have had guys trip and snag the cables !!

I have found out the hard way ( Trip on a truck to the HD dealers for re-writing the ECM back to bone stock !)

Cnut of a thing so now I'm 100% BELT AND BRACES !!

And yes Steve Cole of TTS is indeed the man if you have dramas. NO CHANCE of that service anywheres else in my experience !
