There are a couple of caravan parks near town, I don't think there would be any probs with accomodation in any case, swag it, or on the couch, or in some locals panel van, whatever, be a good scout and come prepared.
Well, for those that follow this thread this has gotta be the news that takes the cake..............Our esteemed Chief Demon Gnome is not going to Northcliffe, citing work related maters, hard to believe that our mushroom dweller would work on a weekend let alone during the week. So I made some descreet enquiries and found that Mrs has put her foot down and will not let the Gnomelet go out with the boys. He has to rake the leaves, prune the trees and do the house work, laundry etc. She has hidden the keys to the shed and taken charge of the credit card, I'm near to having to go to Dunsborough to console him. Best we take lotsa pictures so we can show him what he missed.
