G'day all. Just got home from a 2200km trip. Bike ran fine most of the trip (got me back home!) however it developed a little problem.
Whilst riding along it was as if someone flicked the key from "run" back to "on". Not sure if that is the correct terminology but for example it goes - OFF - ON - RUN.
The tacho would drop to zero, the speedo would read 0kms and the little red light would come on. All the same things that happen when you turn the bike to "On" when starting it.
Most of the time the engine would lose power for about half a second then kick back into life and everything woudl be fine again! Problem was very intermittent. Sometimes would happen twice in a couple of kays then wouldn't do it again for another 300kms!
I've done some research and some people are saying it's possibly the igniton barrel?
Anyone else suffered the same symptoms? It first did it only 200kms into my trip.
Bikes a 2011 48. Has 5000kms on it now. Has intake, exhaust, power commander V.
