Got a new Pirelli Night Dragon front fitted on my widey this morning.

The standard Michelin didnt do to bad @10thousand Ks.Back tyres (Michelin ) got a few thousand left in it.

Was told by the tyre fitter that they have a few complaints about Night Dragons getting to half worn and being slippery.

    Anyone had that happen?

I took the sled for a decent fang up the Cook Highway to Port Douglas and back.

After a few Ks of taking it easy I give her a fistfull and the new front worked pretty good.

Im a fan of Pirellis as I also  own a Duke and its got them, as well as my car , its got them as well.Had them on my last Harley and all the  way back to Pirelli Phantom days on sports bikes

They are soft but who cares if they hang on.

Ill go a Night Dragon on the rear when its needed I reckon.

    Cheers

Howdy Rob, Running ND on rear of my softy, 8k so far seems to be holding as good as from the start.(I ride it right to the edge- no chicken strip)
Just ordered a ND front tyre this morning to replace the fast wearing Dunlop.
Hear pretty good reviews on the Michelin power commander 2, positive feedback on traction and longevity.
Im tempted to fit front and rear set next time round, decisions decisions
Is it better the devil you know? HHMMM....I wonder

I am due for tyres soon and still trying to decide between the Avons, Night Dragons and Comander 11's. Very tempted by the Mitchelins but the reviews vary on them a bit especially in the wet. I ride most days and get caught in the rain at times so wet weather grip is very important to me, hmmm.

I've had night dragons on my Street Glide for about 14k now. The rear has a couple of thousand left in it and the front has plenty but has some cupping that doesn't affect the handling or shake the handle bars. I've probably done 1/3 two up and the rest solo. The night dragons are heaps better than the factory Dunlops. I would have been happy if I only got 10k out of he rear as they stick shit to a blanket!

I'm a bit of a "Girl" in the wet, (One accident in the last 18 years) but have ND's front and back now and have "Hardend" up since. :)

Have ND on front & back on my 09 fatboy. Done 8000ks on the rear & might get another 1000ks & it will will need replacing. 90% of the riding was two up. Happy with grip in all conditions.
