Hi guys. Since a workmate dropped dead at the coalface (literally) a couple of weeks ago I decided I'd better start ticking a few things off the bucket list. First in line was something a bit more in keeping for a fella my age to ride. So I pushed the TL1000R to the back of the man cave and started looking for my first Harley. A few hours later I fell in love with a lovely old FXSTC the same vintage as my TLR ('99). It's being collected early next week from the Gold Coast and shipped up to Mackay, about two hours from me. I'll get a mate to run me in to collect it. Anyway, here's what I found...

Thanks, guys. Supposedly only 20,000 km on the odo. I like the symmetry of moving from a big Jap sports twin to a bigger Milwaukee cruiser twin. I'm a born tinkerer so I'll no doubt get to know her inside and out over the next couple of years. I haven't been able to find a lot of specs or data online, let alone a users manual, but I have ordered the Clymer service manual. I don't have any history on the bike and am assuming it's pretty much mechanically stock apart from the large radius pipes. I'm guessing Vance & Hines.

    I'm hoping for LOUD! <img data-cke-saved-src=

The new missus wondered about the solo seat. I told her its to stimulate her as-yet undiscovered penchant for riding. I'm thinking a matching colour Virago for her. <img data-cke-saved-src=

Why does my IPad keep uploading the same JPEG when I've definitely submitted a completely different file?

...and then changes the JPEG in my original post. WTF?

Dahlo, welcome aboard and enjoy your new toy.

You mention that you've had trouble with the Ipad loading the same photo, it has been mentioned in another post that using Ipads and the like misbehave with the forum at times. No doubt the Ipad, iPhone users will help you when required.

There doesn't appear to be too many issues with other devices or platforms.

Hi mate. Welcome and good news for you on the new bike. Nice lookin ride. If you wanna post pics here, use a windows PC or laptop with Firefox.
I haven't seen the clymers manual but that offer of a free Harley manual on disc is a good offer to take up.
