is anyone running a frame stabiliser on a 2014 SG, I do get a bit of a wobble when pushing her a little. There is a lot on the US sites about them but opinions are divided. There are a few options ranging from just under $200 for an Alloy Art top mount to over $400 for a true trac.

Hi Steve,, I have an 09 Glide , (start of new frame, etc). Is it a wobble , or wallowing, (seems to be coming from the front) . I take it you get the feeling through a sweeper at some speed !! I believe Harley rectified the so called "death wobble" as much as they could on the heavier , fairing touring bikes from 09. I can sometimes get "wallowing", through a sweeper at speed, (depending on road surface , etc), but is very slight , and controllable , definitely not what I've seen with the tank slapping , death wobble.. That all being said, a type of stabiliser to suite a touring bike that would eliminate the wallowing as much as possible if it concerns you , would be a money well spent . Interested, myself if anyone here, has installed some type of aftermarket stabiliser on their touring bike, and their opinions !!! Cheers.

My 2007 bagger never had a death wobble at any speed so sorry to say it was a wallow just like all the rubber glides. Its caused from the rear engine/gearbox/wheel being mounted on rubber bushes with two stabilizer type links front and top and nothing on the rear swingarm mount. I brought the progressive link because it was from a large suspension company that will not fold over night if there was a problem with the stabilizer or gearbox mount.

yeah not what I would call a death wobble at all, more like wallowing. It happens more with the missus on the back and she noticed it today. I don't need/want a sports bike as I have been there and done that many times, I am just wanting to get mine to ride the best I can with maintain a smooth comfortable ride. I picked up a near new front mount true trac off US ebay and now with Aus post doing freight out of the US the post cost was much cheaper than USPS. Just have to keep an eye out now for the rear mount one to fully stiffen up the frame.
