welcome chop, cool bike man. (almost bought same bike 8 mths ago) Mate of mine just bought a 2014 cvo breakout and they don't have drag bars on it (this one didn't anyway-sure its factory though), much better riding posture than the standard breakout, does detract a little from the intended drag-bike look but still looks o.k. don't know about the cables though mate. Maybe check out the stealership about the bars. Risers would affect cables on the instrument panel also- being part of the centre clamp Brother-in-law has a standard breakout and he also finds the fatigue sets in quite quick with the seat and bar set-up as well. He wants to start with changing the bars too.........GOOD LUCK
Have fun on the forum buddy, its a fucken funny place at times!!
Funny HA HA..... not funny peculiar
Regards FLIPDOG
Welcome to the forum Chopper. Nice ride, I think the breakout is a slow burner ( meaning it has taken a while for that model to grow on me, but I'm still stuck on the look of the std Softail.
Anyhow, all the best in finding the right setup for your riding position, sounds like the fitter and turner knows a few tricks & probably be a cheaper and more practical alternative than someone over the counter would come up with. Some of those guys know f.a about bikes & rely pure and simply on their spare parts bible for an answer.
Hey Chop , im picking mine up in the next couple of weeks and have been wondering about the bar height too . so please post some pics ok ! cheers mate .
Oh and also welcome mate !
Welcome to the forum
Just change the bars, mate. Have a look at Flanders bars out of the USA. They have a large range. I transformed my Roadie with a set of theirs. Brilliant!
