I thought I' d just send out a very warm happy new year to you all from Sunny Townsville....came up he for a break.....loving it to the max ....nice part of the world here....have seen some boys riding past visiting the sea view hotel.......and just so my post meets the bike related section....I dropped into suncity harley for some extra toys which I will have to lug back on the plane....drink up boys n girls happy 2015.....

 

Yeah mate, I lived up there for 5 years before heading down to Sydney for a further 3. The place is great, I'll be living up there when I finally get over moving for work.

Recently got out of there after almost 38 years. I hate the place. No events happen anywhere near there, there are no racetracks between Ipswich and Darwin, there are only three roads. North to Cairns which is the best option, West to Mt. Isa or South to Brisbane. Townsville's great if you like to drink and fish and sweat 9 months of the year. If you're a rider who wants to attend events, they're usually a 4-6 day round trip away. I moved to Adelaide where a days ride can take you to a lot of different destinations and events.
