To Hypercharger or not, that is the question.

Running an '09 Night Train with regular stage 1 air filter setup. But with regular oval cover I cant imagine that much air getting in. I have been considering the Hypercharger and have done a search and read up on them. Whilst I know plenty yay sayers and no sayers, I would like to hear from people that have first hand experience with them.

My first choice was to go for the Pro R 9322 as per pic...

However I note they are wider then the standard and that worries me a bit, looking too bulky and leg restricting. Tho they are purported to be the best Hypercharger that have made to date.

The Standard model 9754 with the Stinger Trap Door 8498 is a bit narrower and perhaps sexier looking as per pic...

Priced similar at $365 & $355 for the stinger look.

What pearls of wisdom might you have on these units? (Yea I know big suckers may be better performing but am enquiring on these kind of units). Comments welcomed.

Plz excuse dbl post, posted in workshop too, however wanted to hear from softail riders in particular.

I have one on my softail, not sure which version as they all look the same to me. Not leg restricting at all and not once bothered me. I don't think it performs any worse or better than other air cleaners. It's just another k&n filter behind a different looking cover with a vacuum operated front trap door. The way they seal around the breather bolts make them tend to spray a bit of the breather oil. I fixed that by venting to the atmosphere. Theyre a bit fiddly to fit if you want the trap door to work - requires the tank to come off. Otherwise don't rig up the vacuum line and the trap door stays open

I have one on my Train as well. I put on a black wrinkle one. Looks the same as the rest of the bike. I have had trouble with the vaccum hose spiltting. It causes fuel to run out. Ended up using fuel hose instead of vacumm hose. They all do pretty much the same thing. Just a bit more w%^K factor,

Personally I wouldn't spend money on one, they aren't worth the price.

It's not doing anything special by that I mean it's not "Hypercharging" anything, much better air filters on the market imo.
