    Afternoon all.

Hmmm oh where to start.   55 y o. Most definitely not born again rider. But having said that have turned full circle. Having said that, I should clarify that statement. Yes after a 20 year hiatus, I'm back riding a HD. Not that I'd have ever thought I'd come back after the, let's just say the frustration of the AMF 80cu 1980 FXWG flame glide. And the 15 years of ownership. Don't get me totally wrong, it was a great time.

As life is, changes can sometime set a new path in life. One of those life's curve balls had me sell the wart hog, who after its last money sapping rebuild morphed into the sweet painted lady.

Still with the need to ride and with what little money that was, a japper sports tourer at least kept flame lit. So a few  more jappers with custom touches (in the street fighter style) but with onset of getting older ( please note, not growing up) the riding posture could only be tolerated for short rides. So in 2012 the last rice rocket, stupid speed, grin maker, was dispatched for a triumph thunderbird 1600, no I didn't go the 1700, as you are a about to find out, I hate black. Yes it looks great but I really do hate the upkeep. The trumpet is a damn fine piece of work, long hauls it aces every time, comfort abounds, goes well, even sounds pretty good, with the assisted falling off of the cat ( wink wink nudge nudge, if you know what I mean).

But alias, although I have made Lady P. ( yes lady Penelope from the thunderbirds, well I wasnt gunna call her Vergile or John, or Parker was I ) my own, with my own parts with parts converted from other models, it's , still a triumph thunderbird. No I'm not getting rid of lady P, she still will remain as the primary long haul bitch, in this mans shed, a second bike is now required a round town slut, in fact. And I found her, she's all mine!

I'd been toying with the idea of building an old school chop, ( who am I trying to kid, here, Mr no time to do jack shit) and then I spotted her, hard candy blue 2015 sportster 72. Ya either love them or hate them, I guess. But me I'm in lovvvvvve.

It's almost like perfect, long haul bitch for fills my needs to roam, and the round town slut ( you have to excuse my terminology used for those whom maybe easierly offended, may I suggest building a bridge or a cement pill) adjusts the mid week attitude, just nicely thank you very much.  So there you have it, who would have thought it, riding and grinning like a kid with a new toy, a HD sporty.
