Gday Fellas,

 

Looking at a set of Carlini Apes for the fatboy.  Does anyone know if the height of the bars include the riser height?

G'day All,

Bit of research, the Carlini Gangsters run true to size, The flying apes on the other hand run an inch and a bit higher than advertised.

Why can't they give you actual bar height?... Same with HD apes height given includes riser in kit, no good if running a different riser.

I got the apes intalled.

 

They run true to size. (14"

 

Overall, very happy with them.

I got them from Vicious Cycle Works in the states.

Funny thing is Carlini shipped them... Shipping a bit exy but turned up on my doorstep 4 days after I ordered.

I've never been a fan of apes, but while this thread is active I thought I would take the opportunity to ask what it is that makes the Harley community like them.......

Is it spending the extra cash for cables and lines ?

Is it the numbing sensation in your hands and arms ?

Is it the lack of control when you need to perform an evasive maneuver ?

Is it to place more stress on the risers during braking ?

Is it another excuse for the boys in blue ?

I realise there are horses for courses, but someone humour me..........
