Hi guys, I'm looking for a open fave helmet, one that I don't look like Marvin the Martian.. I like the cannonball helmet, but it's not Australian standards... Can someone help with a good helmet please..

Nex or xrh but you'll need to try them on as not all helmets fit well on all heads

What have you got against Marvin?

All heads are just as different as helmets.

what fits for one may not give you the look your after.

Best bet is to go into a shop and try some on.

+1 for the Nex, it was the lowest profile I could get and it's comfortable. good helmet for the price.

I'd wait to see what the new helmet laws are before buying a new one, (that's unless you have dropped it of course).
You might be pleasantly surprised in the new year.

There's a cheap xrh helmet in large and matt black colour, supposedly unused, on gumtree for $50 right now

Any one who has grabbed one from Peter Stephens what size do you normally wear, what size did you order and are they the same size??? I usually wear an xxl so wondering if one of there's in an xxl will be the same....

Sparra. I had to go a size up with the bell. Normally a med to large depending on the make. With the bell the large fits but is tight, so this time I went XL just to have a tad more room..

If you have the coin these are a very good helmet. http://www.shoei-helmets.com/Helmet.aspx?J-Cruise&h=23&t=1

I took two of these to the states (one for the wife) and did 12k klms through all sorts of weather. Torrential rain, above 40 degree heat right down to minus temps in Canada. Not a drop inside. The retractable sun shield negates the use of sun glasses (no more pain above the ears).

One drawback was the speaker recesses weren't quite deep enough for the HD OEM intercom sets. 20 mins and a little care with a small knife sorted that out.

I've been using the bell shorty the last year and happy but it gets a bit noisy and the rocks bugs and rain is starting to get to me these days. I must be getting old as the shark evoline flip face is starting to look good to me.

HUGE difference in sizing between last years Bell 500 and this years. Same size that's too big in the RSD for example is too friggen small in the new ones. Bottom seems to curve in a lot more now.
