Gday there guys!
New member to the HD scene and can pretty much say I should've bought one years ago!
Already had some really good times on the bike and cant wait for the weekends or mint weekdays!
The bike I got is a 2015 Dyna Street Bob Special in a limited edition Vivid Black from the standard 2 tone red/silver combo. I got the bike from Harley Heaven in Dandy with a few added extras such as Vance & Hines Big Radius pipes, SE Heavy Breather kit, Race Tuner, and smoked front indicators.
Gone through its first service now and I added a few little easy extras like HD "Get-A-Grip" grips, black hand levers, billet HD contrast cut shifter linkage, and SE 10mm red spark plug leads. Replaced the standard number plate holder with a side-mounted one I made and added a little LED light to it.
Took the missus for a spin on it as it came with a Badlander seat standard, she voiced her opinion and so a new seat arrangement was ordered. Picked up a new Street Bob solo (the standard one they come with) as well as a HD Rigid Mount Solo rack, HD "Detachables" pillion seat with sissy bar and backrest. This combo should be satisfactory and gives me somewhere to strap stuff to when riding solo. I laughed when I installed everything as the rack looks big enough to only carry a loaf of bread haha.
After Xmas I am looking at installing a set of the HD "Flush Mount" fuel caps with LED Level, gloss black of course, how hard can it be!!
Anyways, hope to meet a few of you at meets and rides etc, until then safe riding
Here are a few pics of her.
Welcome. And plus 1 for the flush mount fuel gauge and fuel cap. Just did mine and it looks great.
Hi Dave welcome to the forum.
Nice looking ride there buddy. The black on black does look the goods.
See you around for a ride some time maybe.
Thanks Youngblood
Thanks Chriso!
I'm trying to keep the chrome to a minimum with this, dont mind it here or there.
Ando did you get a black one too mate?
Not sold on the wheels unfortunately but better than some other models.
Thanks mate.
Welcome to the forum.
How do find the detachable pillion seat , i have one and it takes a hammer and long screwdriver to get the thing to lock on and it isn't that easy to remove.
I guess Harley Davidson didn't want them falling off.
Have had my FXDBA for almost two years now (got the rego renwal the other day)
The rack looks small but has come in handy for carrying the bike cover and other odds & sods for me.
