Bigger cams usually need higher compression. Increasing compression can be done a number of ways. But more importantly, what are you trying to achieve?

If the heads are stock you are limited to what cams you can put in with out causing yourself other issues. Being a 07 im guessing its still a 96cu ?

    Lots of things to consider
what area of the rev range you ride and want the bike to work
If its just low down talk look at the SE 255 or Andrews 46 ( Would suit just a bolt in application)
If its a mid range style cam look at the SE 204, Andrews 57 cams ( This would benifit from a slight bump in Comp ie headgasket change)
if ya want a Higher Rpm power look at the andrews 55,s or the Se 259e's ( bump in comp shaved head and head gasket aswell as bigger cubes)
theses cams just and example plenty others out there

then you can consider porting the heads, Throttlebodies and do it once and put an end to chasing numbers

I bought a used set of CVO 255's from ebay to put into a good mate's 2007 Heritage 96 cube

They were $150 delivered to Perth which was real good at the time

Popped them in with 2 new Torrington caged roller bearings and used a 103 cube calibration for 255 cams with the cubes reset in the MAP ( calibration ) to 96.7

Bearings were $15USD plus post from California . Another mate has/had the installation tools required

He is delighted with the bike now ( he's had it from new !) , it hauls ass from low down real good , and his top gear cruising has the almost same fuel consumption

    He's getting 63MPG in the old money , that's around 4.5 litres/100 K's

His bike has high flow air kit , straight thru' slip on tapered mufflers and the 255 cams. Looks bone stock , bit of a "sleeper" actually

He's 58 and won't do any more to the bike. I service it for him every 4000 K's and he's " keeping it forever "

I went with the SE245e, pretty happy with them. Can now cruise happily at 100kph in 6th, would buck and carry on with the std cams. Can really feel it coming on around 3k. Bit more of a bark to the exhaust tone but not too annoying :)
