Thanks guys. With the rake the way it is done you loose about 18mm at the top so the 2" is about 1 1/4" but it looks more. Because most of my riding is at high-way speeds I was after a cruiser style over zippy style of set up that is why I went for the 3deg rake and small extension to give it a more stable high speed ride. So far it seem to be working out but I still need to fit the 200 rear tyre, then I should be able to fine tune it to get it to handle the way I want it to..
Pumped out the rear guard supports and reworked and fitted the original guard today, along with a new tail light and a couple of smaller rear indicators. Although I have only grounded the mufflers once I think I will have a problem with them and the 200 rear. It looks like they would have to come out and away from the frame about 1" so that they clear the drive belt which would see them grounding more often. Found a set of second hand V&H that might do the job. I just hope it isn't 40c tomorrow like it was today LOL

The pipes are still in the mail, oh well looks like next week. Although it was 42C today up here I for a ride to Spalding to have a drink at the Barb Wire Pub. Its a nice road and has a good twisty bit uphill there and downhill on the way back. I am more than happy with the way the bike handles now and looking forward to putting the 200 on the back.

The pipes arrived and have been fitted. Just the thing, looks like they are made for a 200 conversion. I now have plenty of room for the wider swinging arm and 1" off set for the belt. . I got carried away taking photos of the seats and forgot to take a photo of how much extra room I now have for the drive belt.  I like the way the stock seat flows from tank to rear gard, but I also like the look of the aftermarket seat. Any input?

All done, the hardest thing was bleeding the rear brakes, what a pain. Did a bit of OH&S near the front pully and pumped out the rear gard a bit more to stop any rubbing.

that's a very pleasing look, big small bike look, you have the proportions correct, are you doing anything with the front wheel?

the fairings were popular in the 80's to try and fix softail wobbles, looks like they work better on sporties.

Sorry bobby bob, I was only joking, there is no noticeable difference. But it's black and has a Harley badge, must be good.

    Cheers Chris
