Hi guys. 

Could somebody do me a big favor and measure the distance between the bolts on your stock 48 rear suspension. 

Mine is 180mm centre to centre. 

that doesn't sound right, that's 7 inches, would literally have the guard sitting on the tyre.

off the top of my head Aus delivered 48's have 12 inch eye to eye shocks

Sorry, that was a typo 280mm is what the stock shocks are from the centre of the bolts, fitted - which is 11".

I just bought progressive's at 11" as I was told it would lower the bike 2", I should have checked.

The ride hide is the same, just brutally uncomfortable.

I wonder if itd be worth getting a lowering link now that I have stuff springs..... It didn't work well with stock springs.

The 48 is lower than other sportsters standard isn't it? Might be the confusion.

Yeah...... An expensive confusion.
