Hi all, been a while since I posted but thought this rack may interest some as they are not readily available everywhere. Being a solo rider 99% of the time I found it annoying that I couldnt carry anything with me. I never liked Harley's Bobtail rack they make coz 1. it sits right on the tail assuming there are both rider and pillion seats on board and 2. it inteferes with the tri led tail light and have to make them work together, too much stuffing around. So it was a while before I found a rack to suit a solo rider and its the Bikers Choice Chrome Solo Lugg Rack 06 - 12 FXST BC-302441 I bought it from Cruiser Customizing around $62 I think it was where I have bought most of my stuff. Still havent got bag to suit rack but so far Willie & Max Black Magic trunk may be the go.
I have also since installed Kuryakyn luggage racks with Ezy Brackets but thats a whole different story that I will make another thread on when I get around to it.

Thanks also for the part number as one is reluctant to purchase from US cause if its not right the ridiculous postage cost makes it unviable to return, its really fucked how you cannot source anything such as these racks in Australia, really frustrating after all the nightster fx standards/customs are very popular models. Also what part number is your mustang fender bib? like I said want the exact same set-up (don't really like the braided edge though). It wont match my tank bib. Mate, just to be sure are the rack mounting hole centres 195mm? Very reluctant to buy shit off cruiser customising though, after a fuckin nightmare event when I purchased a highway hawk solo rack for my other bike.Sent me the wrong mounting brackets and after I found the correct ones on their site I ordered them (sent photos of problems and all) only for them to send me the exact same fucken bracket, fair dinkum, again postage was twice the price as the part. Anyhow I just modified the bracket to fit. The fuckwit I was dealing with must of been on crack man, what a dumb cunt!! Ill try to get it from another supplier. haha you were probably impatient and pressed it twice, gotta just press once and wait no matter how long. Mate I have had nothing but good news and service from CC and the best prices especially shipping to oz, even cheaper then for me to post to nextdoor suburb. They use some sort of warehousing system in NSW then it gets forwarded on. Yes my NT is wide 200 tire and an '09. I measure it at 205mm centre bolt to centre bolt. I would say all bobtails for wide tyre wud have that measurement.
Hey its $50 plus $10 shipping from USA using CC55 shipping discount. How much better can you possibly get then that. Motherwell is $130+ and not for bobtail.

the best way to buy from CC is to get a few things that you want together, so extra items dont add that much to postage. Their CC55 sale ends monday but I can tell ya they have this shipping special 90% of the time. The highest it goes is 60% off ie CC60. and I still find CC having the best prices on the net.

thanks buddy got onto CC website this morning and ordered the solo rack straight away. With postage was US$60.41= AU$75, still great value. Can get the bib from MCAS in Sydney, 8 bucks postage. Thanks again for posting the thread and pictures, (I had given up on the idea) looks great man and so handy, got one on my other bike and wouldn't be without it.
