Mate pretty easy just need a Aussie standard helment, leather gloves, Jacket and enclosed boots, get ya bike scrutineered, and hit the strip just use the first coupla runs to get a feel and build on it from there

    Good stuff Ando!!

    What was trap speed like?

What was the sixty foot time?

Sounds like your too aggressive & overpowering the track, if you had a adjustable VPC & knew how to custom set up for track conditions would not have to worry about the rear tyre, but very few understand how to do it & in your case would only be worth the trouble if you really truely want to impress at the track with times, but I think you are enjoying your riding only go to track once in while for fun. Could ride the clutch a bit to help traction. But fantastic for just a once in a while at track.

    Good on you

Ando improve on that 60ft time! Hope you used first gear off the line?

Yes trapp speed is speed at the end of quarter, if your wide open should be getting a faster trapp speed, but because you don't go to track often that's a great effort, it is harder than people think to do a quick time on a bike, easy in car's hard to do on a powerful MC that's why I love it.

yeh from what I have seen ya need to be doing plus 200km trap speed to get into the 10's

also worked out that you have to get a lot right in a very short amount of time, one little mistake and its back to the start line for another go and yes it is harder than it seams

only use first gear clutch feel has taken a bit to get used to as it works right out the end of end where as the Softy had to pull the lever right up to the bars and work really close.

almost feel over a few times waiting for the bike to take off

good luck Ando! you have a 10 second bike there no worries! 120mph trap speed tells me that , it's just you need to get everything right, but most import thing is work on getting that 60ft time down but don't try too hard as you make mistakes trying to go harder. That bike will do 1.7, 1.6 sixty foot with out even trying   I think Daddyracer56 could do 1.4 or might have been 1.45? But he is a rider prides himself in how he rides. You will do 1.6 no worries then if you do everything right 10's . But don't give it too many revs off the line as you just want it so you can ride in run 10's ride home forget about lowering tyre pressure just run same pressure as you run on street ride it like your just going off the lights quick. People tell me they have clutch slip, so they go get a different clutch but seen em at track next week better clutch but no better times, thing is clutch slip not a bad thing at drags I done quicker times with a slipping clutch than with's clutch that had no slip, I just had to hold it Ina lower gear over the line, ifi put in top revs just went up ( all to do with load I think) but try to get out hole quick n straight shift quick try n hold lowest gear you can through speed traps as less times you shift the better, every shift takes time. One & two, there goes a second. Good luck at  it you will have a grin a mile wide when you see you ran 10

I think I have something wrong with the gauge as following the instructions I can't get any more than 15psi into the cylinders without winding the leak down gauge right of the scale, I did a comp test and had 198psi in each pot

went and played gauge swaps and this is what I end up with

This is indicative of both cylinders just only got pics of one so it actually looks like 5%

Could be a gauge issu or the reg , what was your compressor opened right up sometimes you have to bypas the reg on the compressor
But yep plenty of shit gauges and tools out there

You want close to 100psi pumping in there for the leak down then have 5% for an awesum leakdown.

  • Ando

Yep was a 100psi then dropped back to 95/96psi

95% seal good Ando, but like you say gauge's not always spot on, so like to double check find out where 5% is going, pull a bolt out the case where you time listen if hear air rings, take air cleaner off open throtle listen , intake valve, same up pipe.

    Hey Ando,

I was looking at some 120" Hurricane Head n piston n tb manifold cam kit   Cam looks bit aggressive for street but I must say if you want more HP that's what you want & I think cheap!!!!!
