Went up to Frasers yesterday morning to show them my scratch in the rear guard

Anyway a funny as fuck thing happened whilst I was there.

This bloke is checking my bike out big time ( another customer) telling me all about his breakout and the stage Iv kit,,, I just listening and nodding.

Any way he says what are them A-N-D-O heads ya have as I have never heard of them???? At this point I am on the ground LMFAO.

Some more Bits and Bob's

Got some grip covers these soften the grip up and make it a bit fatter. I find this more comfy

Also did some stuff to protect against stone chips as the Old Softy copped a hidding over the years from stone chips

Got some tank Armour of Gumtree

Clear plastic protective film from supercheap and put on the forks and down tubes of the frame

and with the bottom of the frame I cut up some old tire tube and cable tired them on

This will keep the frame, tank and fork legs chip free over the journey

Hilly it corners so much better that's for sure, the only criticism is the harsh feel of the suspension, if you hit a bump in a corner that you a ripping up it really unsettles the whole bike and you loose the confidence you had in the bikes cornering ability before the bump.
The Softy held itself a lot better in those situations and just felt a lot more plush.

But as a complete package its a better all over than the Softy

And Loving it

Do you find it a large step up in all 'round power from your modified 120 ?
It's Interesting you went the way of using all stock SE parts.
I guess it takes the hassle away from planning a custom build.

I'm in the middle of putting together parts for a 120r style build, and expecting the modified 110 heads to flow somewhere between the stock MVA's and the Hurricane's.
I plan on using a 3 piece S&S 120 short rod crank, and debating on the Timken tapered conversion.
I'm leaning toward staying with the SE rollers, as It makes it easier for me to build the bottom end .

Yeh Hilly I have been looking at the YSS stuff and will head that way soon, Also and I should of mentioned the High Speed stability of the Soft is way better also

It took an SE fork brace, Tweak bar, 20 W folk oil, and a Michy Commander II @ 38 PSI to make me feel happy with the front end on the Widey.

The arse end has Progressive shocks and is lined up using a Lazer line to set the rear pulley in line with the front pulley ,(along the belt).

Found that HD method of aligning rear wheel on Dynas is only close enough. not exact.

(Actually, same goes for softies.)

She handles a lot more like a motorcycle now than a Harley.

Ando my 2 bobs worth.

As you know , I have a dyna and softy, they are chalk and cheese to ride.

Hilly is onto it mate, I've had a couple of dynas , there is many things you can do to improve handling but
sputhe is the best upgrade for $ you Will do. Hell of a diffrence.
Next on the list is rear shocks, I have run a couple of sets of ricors over the past couple of years and once
again value for money is excellent, especially since they have changed then recently, now even better.

You definately need these 2 upgrades with the big donk mate if you want to hook in on her.

Progressives get the thumbs down for me, I believe they have gone downhill in quality last cuople of years.

If people ride dynas tame they need not worry but those that hook in on the bends will have issues with wobbles at the speeds Ando indicated.

Ando them wobbles will be gone as soon as you fit sputhe or tru-trac regardless of what shocks you have on.

Yep shocks will impove it again but first spend would be stabilizers for me mate

Went through the same shit with Samson but after 6 months of phone calls they decided I was not going to give up. I told them I was saving up to visit the states and my first port of call was Samson strange but they they decided to change their mind and send me a new pipe. It was very stupid on their part because over the 6 month period I joined every Harley forum in the states and gave them very bad feed back regarding there pipes and still do to this day if anyone asks. angry

The RX appears to be very biased towards HP, which is the way I think it should be for a street bike with this sort of power.
You can tell the package was designed for the track though.
No doubt you could change things around and pick up torque, but not sure I see a need.

These little $2 LED's rocked up today for my number plate. They put out a fair bit of light and will do the trick lighting up the numberplate
