    gday everyone,

Just like to introduce myself,I'm a 44 yo bloke from Bombala , I've been riding sports bikes on and off since the late 80's, my shed consists of a 2008 canam spider,a 2013 ninja 1000 .i decided to buy a Harley last week and see what I thought, I got a 2005 sportster 1200 custom, and I have to admit I don't know why I spent all those years messing around with jap bikes, the Harley is the most amazing bike I've ever ridden,I had too have my left ankle fused 2 years ago wich made riding pretty hard but the Harley is just awesome, that awesome that I'm selling my other bikes as im sold on Harley's now.inhope to meet some fellow owners soon,I'm a member of the Ulysses club and have just joined the Harley Owners Group.

Thanks for taking the time to read my ravings on lol.

    Doogle ??

Hello Doogle, it has been a while since I stayed in Bombala, I did pass through there a couple of times just the end of last month on the way to Vic, 23rd I think it was, and again on28th heading for Canberra protest. I lived in Bombala and did a couple of months in Bombala high in 1974 hope you have fun here.

Welcome Doogle ... I reakon one of the best roads to ride is from Candello to Bombala through Mt Durra , i haven't ridden it for a few years but remember lot of corners and not much traffic.

Great to hear you got a sportster... they are an incredible motorcycle... amazing pick up speed... I have a sports bike and a corvette and yet nothing thrills me more than taking my sporty out... and that says something because many big Harley bikers drool (you know, the real Harley riders ha ha)  when they see the Corvette... It took me a year to get the bike really set up and running the way I like... spent many hours working on it and it has paid off because the ride is absolutely maginficant now.... always want to be on it.

Thanks everyone, now having the chance to go for a few rides on my custom sportster,I'd agree, there's nothing like cruising down the hwy ,listening to the roar of the motor,my poor ninja 1000 is going to stay on 1500 klms as I've no desire to jump back on board my sports bike,I'm sold on Harley's ,there's no going back for me ??

Welcome to the forum mate. It's a total different mindset riding a HD over the sports stuff isn't it. I have a '02 ZX9R also and barely touch it now. (This helps preserve the licence too)

Hope to see you around on a ride sometime.

    Cheers
