Reading engine oil level on Evo Softail

G'day everyone quick question to ask.

I just bought a 1993 heritage Softail, so checking the oil level on the dipstick there is only one mark on it there is no low or high mark just one notch about 3/4 of the way down on the dipstick.

I have been hunting high and low to find out if this is the full mark or low mark now I have tried asking this question in other places most seem to think it could be the full mark but others are saying it's the low mark so I am stumped but everyone seems to agree that the oil should be checked with the bike in a upright postion with the engine hot.

My concern is that many said do not overfill the oil tank but in the same breath I do not want to starve the engine of oil so I need help, is the one and only notch on my dipstick the high or low mark and can I get a aftermarket dipstick that would fit my bike with a high and low mark on it because it would be so much easier to read than what I am going through now cheers.

as long as the oil level is on the mark when hot and upright then is ok, if you overfill the oil will just piss out the filler hole in the oiltank.
