2000 carb heritage . got a couple of kms up the road and the engine light came on and the speedo and odometer stopped working. i shut it down straight away and checked fuses, oil, battery etc and all good. started it back up and as soon as revs increase a couple of hundred rpm from idle the odometer flickers than stops working and the engine light comes on, does it whether in neautral or in gear and moving, bike runs fine with no funny noises , so i limped it home. any ideas ?
Sounds like you should maybe check for any error codes first up, then clear them to see if that fixes the problem or codes come back.
