My 1200 Sportster went for its first service yesterday.. It's so quiet now, snappier throttle, popping on decel like crazy but is so so quiet (exhaust wise), im guessing the ecu was flashed or reset, but how could that make it quieter?

Do Harley's come with a 'run in' map or something? This feels like an entirely different motorcycle.

Wouldn't think mineral to synthetics would make that much difference? I'm still only in the 600-700km range on mine.

I am about 100 shy of my first service and wouldnt mind the Phat finishing up a little quieter. My biggest issue is the popping on decelaration though as opposed to all out noise. She was described this week as being louder than a squadron of tanks which made me smile. 

So they flash a sportier map on first service? We also get the super restrictive mufflers here, saw a 48 in the US with a hot muffler, it was the stocker lol. Baloney cut from the factory.

Cool, so they re flash them? It does feel like it's running much cooler, smoother and far improved low end response. I was about to spend money on a tuner, doesn't feel like it needs it now.
