Hi guys, i just bought a 2012 fatboy, it has pipes and airflow. It also came with a Screamin eagle super tuner, My question is.... Should i get a dyno tune or just use one of those tunes in the super tuner, i have tried a couple and it sounds fantastic, but it does pop when i gear up and down, i dont mind a little popping but its a little more then i like...
Should i just keep trying different tunes on the tuner or take it to the dyno tuner, they are going to charge me $450 for a tune...
thanks in advance guys
Don't bother with expense of a dyno tune for stage 1. Surely there will be a reasonable se map you can use which will work fine. I'm with the others in that the expense of a dyno tune become more worthwhile with additional mods such as cams. Even then, doesn't the se tuner allow you to log/record data and tune yourself like tts? I'm not certain as I use tts and learning its ways now.
thanks guys for the replys,
im gunna wait until i do more to the bike, whick will be middle to late next year, then i will tune it...
also the SE tuner lets me record my riding then it does a smart tune... ill give that a go too
how do you tune efi like a carby , that is impossible ????, they are 2 totaly different intake systems , (efi with jets ???)
the mixtures they set. efi allows you to be able to set a chosen (educated guess) AFR at any load point, carby you have "areas". There are some pretty badly tuned EFI bikes out there.... Alan you know where im coming from with this..... T1
