I was after some advice on handlebars if anyone can help.

Am looking at swapping the mini apes on my '13 streetbob for T bars and was wondering how low I can go with the risers. Was looking at 5" or 6". Would there be any issues with bars/indicators hitting tank? Has anyone put these on thier bike that can let me know would be great.

Have a look at fatbob bars. They are 5" risers and flat bars and on the same frame and tank that you have. No clearance issues there so I would suggest tbars with 5 or 6 inches would be fine.

Cheers for the reply pva. looked into pricing at the stealers and is looking like it's going to be too expensive by the time the cables are changed out as well, so might have to stick with the mini apes. thanks for the advice any way.

Is your street bob dual front disk and abs? I want to go higher on my fat bob and was thinking about putting street bob cables on it. If they line up maby we could work out a swap or something? Just an idea

G'day Lodgie, sorry for the late reply, haven't been on for a while. The bob only has a single disc on the front. Probably looking at changing seat out instead now for a two up.

I know you're getting a seat now instead but if it's any help perhaps check out Burly Brand cable extension kits if you need them for the new bars.

I had a similar situation with me and the stealership so I got all the stuff myself and parts alone I saved like 50%

mcas.com.au is where i bought mine, $260 for all the cables you need. Not bad

All the stock cables should fit dropping from mini apes to T bars. Provided you have the normal riser mounts, it should be a half hour job with two people at it. I fitted the wide glide set with 5" risers up to my FXDC with no problems.

Thanks all for the replies, plenty of good advice there. I was told the cables had to be replaced for shorter ones otherwise the stock ones bolge too much, which makes sense. Anyway, still looking at changing seat and engine mod instead.
