    Yep.

Not many keen(stupid)enough to get a Walla for the first Harley

Came with a Tea chest full of army and 6 volt parts. Was swapped to a 12 volt electric system. 1986 this snap was taken.About 90 % original and wasnt half bad all things concidered.

The Cement mixer was a bargain too .

    Ha ha ha.
+1 to that Choco, pretty same here.
I was in early 20s and I was of course a cross between a brain surgeon and a rocket scientist , so I thought. I don't need any one to tell me how to ride the fucker , lol I owned a Laverda after all ...
my first ride ended about a mile away, couldn't restart the cunt lol ended up pushing it home, as did the next few rides. I remember it was disproportionally heavy as fuck compared to its relatively small size. ( amazing what all that iron weighed) . I think I payed $4000 or $4500 for it.
Those were the best days I agree mate.
I often think how busy it must have been riding one of them real old classics that had the hand advance for the ignition and all that, must have been like a 1 legged man in an ass kicking contest, lol

Back in around the mid to late 80's I met a Dutch bloke at a bike rally out near Mt Mary South Australia. He'd built a 42 Wallah from the box of parts he purchased.

Once rebuilt and running he wondered what he was gonna do with the thing. Naturally, what else but a world tour!
