Returning to motorcycle after 17 year absence (children)...

Also hoping to encourage my wife to get back on as a pillion so we can recapture some of our younger days touring on a bike.

Bought myself a 2008 1200 Sportster Custom with Thundermax ECM together with V & H Sideshots. First ever Harley & wondering why it took me so long. Have a spare set of pipes (original headers) with Screaming Eagle short slipons & a Leperra Solo seat, as well as the original dual seat. A few things to be done... some small amounts of rust control (& paint) on rear fender, sissy bar & comfy seat for the wife.

Hope to catch up with some folk around Cairns for a ride before too long as well as gaining some useful insights & ideas from this forum.
