G'day all, well I have just bought my first Softail it is a 1993 Hertiage Classic. I picked this bike up for a good price a mate owned it but he had lost interest in riding and also he just bought a new house and wanted to add a shed for his boat and camper trailer so he decided to sell his bike.
I am not new to Harley's I owned a few, I had to sell my last one a 2001 Dyna Super Glide at the to pay for a minor operation that the wife had to have but could only be done through the private hospital system and believe me they know how to charge you for that.
Anyway happy to be back on a Harley and I am hoping this will be my last bike, btw nothing wrong with Twin Cams my lil 88 Super Glide went like a cut snake it was fitted with S&S gear drive cams, upgraded oil pump, and a fair bit more motor work it was a great bike.
So why no upgrade to a bigger Harley in the future, well we have all heard stories about the old farts who are happy to cruise on a 100 to 110 kms all day, yep that's me and I know my bike hits it's sweet spot at those speeds. So I am a happy man I will just let the rest of the world fly past me why I am cruising and smelling the rose's so to speak on my Evo Softail cheers.
enjoy bike one of best harley
