Looking thru some old photos last weekend,these were taken approx 1994 or 95 at the Nomads MC Bike Show outside Brisbane.Still heaps of shovels around and Evos were the new "Ducks Nuts "
Thinking back, Australia had lots of world class mechanics and engineers that perfected the old shovels inherent top end problems.The amount of development on the old bikes was outstanding.There was some real geniouses round back then.
Lots of 4 speeds around still,5 speeds had come in with the Evos, everything had at least 2 inch over forks ,full andrews boxes were common as was SS air cleaners.
And whats not to like about 3 inch open primaries? lol
Still something very special about a well sorted Wide Glide I reckon.
