80 cube evo heads

Gents, I have a 94 Fatty which I've done a few mods to over the last few years - nothing full on yet, EV46 cam, single fire ignition and modified/jetted CV carby, Screaming eagle pipes ( V&H bigshot Q series equivalent). Bike runs pretty well, but would like to realise the full benefit of the mods and reading around the next logical step is a slight bump in compression. I would prefer to replace cylinders heads with either screaming eagle performance heads or S&S performance heads due to improved chamber shape, with matching pistons.

I'm also changing out the lifters (50k on bike) and am open to suggestions on brand.

Listening to kiwidave he loves his Crane timesavers pushrods, and reviews I've read myself don't paint a bleak picture, so will probably fit these while it's apart, along with the S&S reed style breather valve.

So the questions are - from personal experience what would you guys recommend as being the better heads, value for money/longevity/performance wise?

Should I only look at 9.5:1 as the ideal streetable compression - don't want to have to run additives, change starter etc.

Lastly could you recommend anyone in the Wollongong area who could bore and hone (using torque plates) my cylinders, and should I be doing/replace anything else

Thanks in advance for any advice.

46 cam won't be good in a heavy bike like a fatty without a boost in comp , would not go rad with a 46 on the comp , maybe change cam ,

Thanks for the replies daddyracer56 and dynoharley. Like I mentioned, the bike performs pretty well as it is, am just at the stage where I need to do a bit of TLC and fix a cylinder base gasket weep, so while I was at it was considering upping the comp to suit the cam. Am still considering having the heads machined slightly, but was thinking it may be better to buy heads with a better combustion chamber design and matching pistons for a better overall package.

    cheers

i have done a few where you weld up the stock chamber & put a squish shelf in on the other side  & shape & blend & polish & cced both heads up to comp ratio etc , if you have a base gasket leak i always set the squish up & machine the bottom of the barrel as this squares up the gasket surface & brings up the squish , always leave a little radius in the corner for the skirt ,
