Hi. not to sure what you mean but if it is the bolt that goes through the banjo, it has a sealing washer on either side of the banjo and needs no thread tape or gasket goo when you tighten the bolt into housing.

no nothing , it should have a tapered end on the male ends like the end of your bleed nipple and the female should be internal tapered

Thanks for the replies , I'm finding the Zodiac stuff is turning out to be shit stuff over time but cheaper up front, might go and get some plumbing thread tape and give the thread a coating.

sorry dave and fatboy but if use thread tape on brake fittings your off your heads your not fixing the laundry tape leak
if it leaks theres a problem with the fitting sealing area of the tapered area so not sure how thread tape is going to fix that

As far as I know (NSW) all brake line fittings must be swaged to be compliant. You should only have a banjo bolt and thats it for fittings.

92Fatboy, as the other guys have said mate, the lines have a tapered seat where they join either a solid line or a banjo fitting - no thread tape or anything else used. If it still leaks, they are either incompatible fittings, ie different tapers, or damaged seating areas, or loose. The banjo fittings should use a washer either side of the banjo.
If unsure mate, don't stuff around get someone experienced to sort it for you.
