My Streety was startin to idle funny at traffic lights once warm .Trip to dealer service centre revealed it was on " Parade Mode " , where it drops the rear cylinder at idle .They over rode it on the computer to stop it happening again . All good smiley.

I have discovered that already, although it hasn't activated as yet, you can deactivate it yourself by rolling off the throttle, or something like that

    so the book tells me.

Roll the throttle forward and hold it while watching the cruise control light, the light will change to green meaning its activated or red its de activated.

Be carefull if it is activated and it starts to idle on one cyl give it a bit of a rev before you try to pull away as it will "bog" down and can be a bit embarrasing tying to pick up 400kg at the lights!

How long where you idling at the lights Tim ??? The way I understand the parade mode, (drop off rear cylinder ) ,, the engine has to get quite hot,, (don't know the exact temp), for it to activate . Its never happened to me,, so I don't know if the bike bogs down when you take off again !! Did you just take off as normal .?? Cheers ..

mine runs rough at idle when hot, like its idling too low but its around 1000rpm. How do you activate or de activate this parade mode thing, when its hot and doing that or can it be done on start up.

When you press the info button on the right switchgear , 3 lines appear . Outside temp , oil press , and the bottom line some acronym in capital letters . This should read - Disabled . Enabled means Parade is activated at idle .

Mark , it changed to Parade Mode when up to running temp , not over temp .

thanks fellas, from what I described do you think that's why my bike is running like that. Up and running and on the gas its spot on with no missing or any signs of an issue.

Push both indicator buttons togethet and hold down for about 10sec sets them off , reverse for switching off.

Now do you know what wire to cut to get a std bike to get an extra 15hp.....

Dunno why you'd want to turn it off. The rear cylinder deactivation is there for a reason and standard on all 2007 onward big twins

The technical name is EITMS - Engine Idle Temperature Management System. It comes on when the idle temp exceeds 162 degrees. I had it enabled on my 2013 model and it was great during the hot traffic days.

    You learn something new everyday.

This is great to know for hot days in traffic no matter where you live.

This is a bit worrying to all you new buyers of tourers. Why aren't you being shown about this EITMS when you take delivery of you new bike?.
They( the dealer) are not doing there job properly if they don't show or at least inform you about this function upon delivery in my opinion.
I was told about it but already knew as i studied all the info possible as i had to wait 3 months for Tigger to arrive.
May I make a bold statement and suggest to you all to "read your owners handbook" as clearly some of you haven't, and you may find your bike does more than what you realised! It's to your advantage!
    Cheers all. Hutch-man-orang-u-tang.
