Upgraded clutch spring

    Do you need to remove the primary cover to install a new clutch spring or will it fit thru the derby cover?

    Pauly i haven't done it yet personally but i think you should fit it through the derby cover. Why else would the cover hole be so big if we couldn't? If it was only to adjust the clutch it would be half the size! Does this make sense?

    Apparently some fit through, the ones I've seen don't !
    2 minutes to pull the Derby, and you will have your answer

    I just did this a couple of weeks ago, didn't even think about going thru the derby.
    Took the whole primary cover off, gives an opportunity for a look in there
    best 50 bux Ive spent on my driveline, heaps better with IT

    10mins job through the Derby cover Pauly, shouldn't need to take the primary cover off.

    It might depend on which spring you are fitting. There is no way the SE spring was going to go through the derby hole
