Hey lads I've recently put 3 inch forward controls on my softail and at the same time I've changed my bars . In the process of Doin both things at once (idiot) a little black rubber boot, block dropped to the ground. It has DOM on 1 side and HDI on the other. It has a curve in it and I've got no idea where abouts on the bike it came from . Can anyone help please ???

 

dom means domestic (usa) market.
HDI means international (rest of the world) market.
Not sure what its off but it looks like a protector of sorts. The slot looks like it fits over a metal tang to stop rubbing or protect something. must be reversible.
My feeling is it goes under or inside the headlight to stop or soak up vibrations like a dampener. My 2 cents worth.
