I took my missus for a ride yesterday and she left her mark on the exhaust pipe.

I have a black, melted rubber from the heel of her boot on the pipe. Can anyone help me?

I need advice on how to remove it without scratching the pipe. Help please.

    Thanks

You know whats coming..............just don't take her out again!

I'd reckon heat the bike back up and wipe it of with a thick damp cloth

Yeah, I know Magilla and that's the price I'm willing to pay but I really need some advice how to remove it, otherwise I will have to buy a new pipe and thats about $300 to $400.

I am hoping that the forum members will help me.

    Thanks

I'll try Taxi's method first as the bike is cold. Then I 'll try to heat it up and wipe it off.

Hey Taxi, wont the blade scratch the pipe?

MEK works well. But keep it away from painted surfaces.

If you undo the buckle on her shoe it should come straight off her foot, and it won't scratch the pipe as long as she is sitting down away from the bike.
