2014 Night Rod Special, filled up at western sydney didnt make it to Canberra on one tank of fuel.

Not the best economy from a bike , my 2010 dyna has no problem with the journey.

I have spread sheeted every tank thru the Wide Glide so far and it is between 5.0 and 6.0 litres per hundred. I don't generally do city riding so I am seeing a best of 4.55 litres per hundred kilometres on a long run, to at worst at 6.12 litres per hundred . That's 29 tanks so far. My average is 5.36, for such a big engine I consider that pretty impressive, Dead stock 103 Cube, even still got George Jettsons exhausts, lol ,, I Kid you not, ( wish I knew how to get a snap shot up).

Didn't want to highjack this thread but didn't want to start a new one on the same topic so close. I just picked up my Vrod Muscle and what an AWESOME bike but the fuel consumption is appalling, now I know you don't buy a Vrod for economy but Jesus I'd be lucky to get 160kms from a tank around town and at a $1.60 a liter....ouch! It has a stage one and V&H pipes, would a dyno tune help much you think?

gday again. Whoever put the pipes and kit on it should have had it dynoed but if its running good you would sacrifice fuel economy for horsepower. My muscle only gives me about the same until I figured out that when the fuel guaeges drop to saying low you still have about 5 litres in your tank. Very deceiving. Run yours till the guaege is saying low and see how much it takes. I got 60 ks out of a tank once it hit low.
