I decided to connect the front fender running light on my 2014 Ultra and here are a few pics if anywants to do the same
1. Remove the driving lights and indicator assy's by undoing the chrome Acorn nuts and then rest the assy on the crash bar or unplug the leads if you want to.
2. Remove the outer batwing fairing by undoing the 2 x Torx screws on each side, the three that hold the windscreen in position and unplug the headlight connector from the headlight and then the fairing can be removed.
3. Looking from the front of the bike, the fender tip running light connector is the outermost connector on the RHS and is shown unplugged in the photo below
4. I fitted a two pin Deutsch plug to the cable and spliced the end of the Deutsch plug lead to the headlight connector. You have a few options when you splice into the headlight cable because you can connect it to run on high beam, low beam or on all of the time. I decided to have it on all of the time and connected it to the black (earth) and blue (constant 12 volts). A photo of the Deutsch plug is shown below
Put everything back together and you now have the running light working on the front fender/mudguard
