Front sprocket changed but rpm's didn't?

Well I swapped the front sprocket out from a 30 to a 28.

Now the interesting thing is that the rpm's and the speeds read the same as before, the bike just feels slower with the wind speed and cars not going past as fast.

So it seems that the sensor that picks up the speed in the tranny is somehow linked to the speedo through the ICM.

Will have to go for a blat with Sycle and see what his speedo is reading as we did a run before and mine was reading 20 k's less than his.

    Any ideas?

    Phillthy,

I know with the Thundermax you need to calibrate it for the speedo to work correctly, doesn't the SERT software have something like that?

No SERT has nothing for speedo calibration.
To be honest I think my speedo is reading about right now anyway.
Just found it interesting that nothing changed after swapping the front sprocket out.

Love the 536's. Bit klacky with the heavy valve springs though.

Can't really comment on the 575's as don't know much about them.
