hi guys, recently fitted some V&H straight shot slip ons to my sportster, have also fitted the 'quiet' baffles, they worked as advertised and took the edge off, but it's still too loud (it's my daily ride and transport).
I don't want it factory quiet obviously but need to cut it down some more.. Any suggestions?
I should add, yes I've seen the temporary methods to pass epa tests, but I'm thinking more permanent long term.
Sorry dude but this topic has been done to death. Use the serch function on the forum or search on googe and or youtube. heaps of ways to get what your after. good luck.
I did man! 350 replies on here, nothing relating to what I was asking though and I gave up after 30 pages of search results on Google..

Open pipes kill mid range torque, need some back pressure in exhaust for mid range, I have always used chicken wire to fine tune exhaust, you can have it long or short in different bundles, always worked for me offers little restriction to exhaust and quiets straight through exhausts a fair bit. Cheap to use and generally stays in with out much trouble
