Keep your original exhaust you will be needing it.

you could easily fit some V&H quiet baffles in them.

Speak to Mike at Kinetic about it before hand, he's a good dude.
Ask him to send you links to the videos of each of his exhaust, the verticals are super loud, but these arent so bad.

I'm not too worried about the length as by the time you "un curl" them they look to be around the same length as the Vance and Hines short shots which I'm already running.
After talking with Mike I found out that the noise level is very similar to the short shots and as T1 mentioned I could always fit the baffles I already have in my short shots.
The only thing I am worried about is the heat on my leg.

if they are internally ceramic coated then you should be ok heat wise, as for performance putting in the baffles will see an increase in low down torque if tuned right... If your using a Screamin Eagle (squarking sparrow) map then you'll be behind the eight ball anyway and it wont matter.

the pipe wont be to short as sporty dont have the cubs to use , but the pimary pipe diametre looks to be miles large for proper exhaust scavening on that size eng  , the eng be dead down low , just my 2 cents worth , cheers

Yeah I was thinking about that Dyno.
The pipe starts off at 1.75" before stepping out to 2".
I rekon I would run a baffle in it anyway.

    "edit"

Spoke with Mike and he says the loss of torque is barely noticeable, if at all. He puts it down to the loops in the pipe.

Just gotta get it past the minister of finance and then we will see.

Pipes have been approved by the minister and ordered before she changes her mind.

the loss in torque is dependant on the tuner....... call me when you have them fitted.

They look a bit like the XR750 flat track racer pipes, just would put Supertrapp muff's on them if the can fit, then you tune the pipes to do what you want, like HP or TQ or loud or quite

    Hey mate,

Did you end up getting them fitted? What do you think of them? Did you fit the baffles? I'm guessing their similar to the V&H short shorts sound wise.. Thinking getting these for mine as well!

    Yes I have these pipes.
They are loud and have a sound quite unique to stainless steel. I have tinkered with a couple of baffles but havnt got the result I'm after yet. Once I get the sound I want I will get it tuned properly and make a decision on weather I keep them or not.
The Finnish is ok but nowhere near as good as the welds look on his web site. (he's a better photographer than welder) I had a couple of welds that needed patching before the pipes were fitted.
I like the look of them and they get plenty of comments.

Great. Id be interested to hear which baffles work the best.. Now that you mention he's a better photographer than welder it worries me. Especially cause they're quite pricey!

Interested to hear how the tune goes bud.

    Cheers

Looking at the welds on his website, even they look a bit dodgy! It would be perfect if he sold them as a kit of pipes that we could assemble ourselves; i recon i could TIG mine better than his. (looking at the pics he has his TIG tourch in one of them; his tungston is WAY too far out from the cup!)

I really do like the look though! way better than ALL the V&H pipes out there where EVERY bike now looks the same and sounds obnoxious.

Is it louder than V&H short shots?
