G'day all, just picked up a 2008 Nightster on the weekend and the jiffy stand rattles around. So yesterday the spring came off the post it hooks onto( on the way to work of course, so balance bike with one hand, trying to work out how it's done and refitting spring with the other!) next thing the stand was at right angles to the bike. After sending the Mrs to get a new spring from HD immediately,I found there's nothing wrong with the old spring at all ,but it seems its loose on its hinge point, under the cotter pin set up. Anyone know if there's a kit available to repair this or what my options are? Thanks

you might off bumped the spring stay post or tang from going around a corner with a bump in it , i bang'em back with a brass driff & a hammerto put the tension back in the spring
