Interested in what people are paying for service at there local mechanics. As I have a new bike Im stuck with the HD Dealer until my warranty expires. Im paying $140 per hour for any service they do.

    Hows others compare?

Yeah 140 a hour is up there that's for sure ... I suppose there are times when that feeling of the dealer having the right answers is the way to go and like you say if you have a new bike under warranty then there's not a lot of choice .

The guy who built my Springer / Bobber / Chopper charges 80 bucks a hour ... the Dyno guy I go to who has also done some other work for me is 100 a hour and my new guy who works out of his house and of course doesn't have the same overheads is 70 a hour .

Gasoline Ally are somewhere between 120 and 140 I think ... Morgan & Wackers are around the 120 mark ... Heavy Duty about a 100 .

If you get the Bug where you can`t stop yourself from fiddling with the Pride and Joy like some of us , wait to you start upgrading performance parts and suspension ... not to mention the occasional Bling ... Lol .

    Welcome to the Fraternity .

That's interesting , thanks for that mate, oh and yeah im already thinking like an RB racing LSR 2 into 1 and some type of air cleaner, I see that Branch still does heads and ,,, and,,, lol yep ,, I can see this getting fun( Expensive) One thing I will say is Im a little bit timid with these new EFI, ECU controlled Harleys. Last bike I had was a 94 wide glide so yeah a huge learning curve. Im loving this forum by the way , Thanks to you all, There's so many really cool and knowledgeable people here and interesting topics too.
