Do I need to re-tune

I have a 2011 Fat Bob, it is standard with K&N free flow filter, slip ons and SE pro tuner, I have just replaced the entire exhaust with a Cobra Speedster shorts swept 25, it seems to run OK with a little popping on decel, is it advisable to have the pro tuner re-tuned?

Depending on the popping noise on decel, your bike may be either running rich or lean. It might run safely ok but ideally get a tune if you want the bike to run as best and as smooth as possible. If you know about the tuning software, there are some common table changes to fix exhaust popping on decel too. The tts manual is good for this at least for the tts tuner but same principles for other software and the screamin eagle software may be similar

Retune when ever modifying air intake and or pipes.

I learnt the hard way, purchase a new bike a few years ago, had pipes and high flow air cleaner fitted pre delivery, was told no retune was required by dealer at the time.

My luck I avoided serious damage and ended up retuning to suit the mods.

I can tell you there are indicators when your engine is out of tune, decel popping is not the only one.

    Don't judge live and learn....WC

I'm thinking mines running lean. Just put D&D Boarzilla.
