OK after 40 years I finally have a garage to myself. Couldn't wait for benches and shelves so I stripped the old girl down and laid her out on the floor. It just started as I quick rewire to fix up some shonky bits in the electrics then sort of got out of control.
Finished painting the bits, black metalflake for frame etc and chameleon pearl for the guards and tanks. Got a bit anxious during the painting, couple of problems but it came good at the end.
Started bolting her back together
Starting to look good
starting to look like a bike now (finally)
Back again, here is where I had thought to stop months ago, sorting out the wiring harness
The colour of the bodywork with the dark rims is gunna look good . Please post the finished product.
Finally back together and on the road, last minute disaster with muffler flanage cracking (big chrome quiet one) so fitted the Supertrap original. Way too noisey so cut up a standard Harley muffler to get some baffles, modified them with bigger holes and cut down shorter so it just fitted neatly inside supertrap. Acceptable noise now, wont go deaf anyway. Getting paranoid parking her anyway now, dont want to get her scratched.
Good Job Mate. Love to see home cooking at its best. Happy new year as well
