i had 2-1 big rad on my 2014 breakout and got defected after clearing defect with stk pipes i fitted 2-1 big rad to make bike quieter

which of the 2 are best for power and a stage 4 kit ?

A good 2-2 will work well at high revs but you don't benefit from exhaust scavenging down low as you do with a good 2-1

I have the V&H Big Rad 2-1 feels better down low than the V&H Big Rad 2-2 hard to tell at high revs though

Thousands of blokes in the USA doing all sorts of wild and wonderful things to their Harleys and you see the builds that have the detail and money invested in them and they mostly run 2-1 exhausts. That tells you something too

Vance and Hines big shots seem to be a good all rounder because they are a 2 into 2 with a hidden crossover which helps with low down power.
They work really well for me anyway.
    Cheers

Not many choices for breakout wanted something custom looking and not mega loud cause i got defected with my V&H BR 2-2 hence why i put the V & H 2-1 other choices are

    2-1
    bassani road rage
    V&H Pro Pipe

    2-2
    bassani sweepers
bassani pro street turn outs or
bassani straight (simmilar to short shots)
    my old V&H BR 2-2

Tried bassani prostreet turnouts Ando ?
Do they make more power than the v&h big rad 2-1 ?
    Have they got crossover ?

Mate, stock headers with S&S slip on mufflers will keep you happy, sounds like a harley should and not overly loud. This combination makes good power all through the rev range and is great bang for your buck, have fun!

I ran 2 into 1 , for a while, like has been stated 2 into 1 low end torque but no high end torque , 2 -2  takes over in Torque 3,500 & up ,

i knocked 5 tenths off my quarter mile times & gained 12mph trap speed just taking the 2 into 1 off putting stock headers back on with sonic slip on's ( like cycle shack but made in Aussie )

Harleys have not changed much, basic engine design still same, car men try car tricks but they don't work with Harley's. a wise old Harley tunner once said when asked about best pipes for a HD, he replied " too much education in Harley pipe design & the power goes south, simplest still works the best "

so like was posted stock headers & a good set of slip on's.

A stock set of balanced headers (NOT Street Bob) and good slip ons, S&S TT or similar Does produce the best alround power, until you go over about 130hp, or with a real big engine. Your 103 stg 4 will be fine. If you press the search button you will find a power graph I put up a few months back showing the same. If you must have the V&H sound wave blaster Big Mother Fu$ker Shooters or whatever grand names they have then the big shot staggereds with balance chamber work the best out of them, as described above. To acheive an accurate comparison the bike would need to be TUNED with each exhaust, then compare. Just bolting it on and riding around the block is not an accurate comparo.
