Touring Screen for Street Glide

On my 99 FLHT I had a number of HD screens ranging from 6 inch, through 10,  12 and 15 inches.  They were the typical flat style stock Harley screens,  either clear or light smoked. All served their respective purpose depending on the height.

When I changed over to the 2008 Street Glide it came with a very dark curved 10 inch screen which was probably a Clock Werks. It was flat apart from the top curve.  It worked very well but it was far too dark for me. So the internet search started.

Long story short,  I found a HD screen that seemed to suit. Bought it locally for $218 and easy to fit at home. There was no real difference to get it from HD USA.

I've found it to be excellent so far, but I haven't been out in the rain.  I've written a review on the HD site which gives you more information.  Click on the link to check it out. It may take a couple of days for the review to be loaded.

I bought one for my 08 FLHT, a 10" one. It is exactly the same functionally wise, but the curve in it on the sides annoyed the shit out of me as it made the centrelines in the road go squiggly as you ride down the road. I went back to the original screen and wouldn't go back. As I said before, it's no better than the original and doesn't look as good either. IMHO.

Neale, I know what you mean. It's taken me quite a bit to get used to the distortion at the sides and top, but I still think that it's a good screen. Time will tell.
