In NSW there is no requirement to actually prove that the exhaust is above the decibel rating to get sent to the EPA. The exhaust just has to appear to be too loud and you can be referred to EPA for noise test. I've heard of a few cases where neighbours have called EPA to complain about the noise of a bike and the EPA has sent them out a letter to have the bike tested. Just about all after market exhausts will fail the EPA test. I have heard that the Screamin eagle 1's, slip ons are boarder line.
