Speedo out by 10%

Fitted a Strike GPS to my sporty last weekend, and found out that the speed is out by about 10%

I understand that they normally over indicate by about 4% as per ADR's but 10 percent is a bit much.

is this something that can be corrected?

I bought it secondhand, and appart from some extra chrome, and running a stage 1 it all looks pretty much standard ?

yes, using a flash tuner like the Screaming Eagle Race Tuner or Powervision you can edit the parameter "Speedometer Calibration" which is measured in Pulses per Km, simply get this number, subract 10% and it should match your GPS.

Unfortunately, you need access to one of these tuners and a licence to use it, might be able to sweet talk your local dealership into changing it.

    OK,

I had a pretty good look and poke around.
But can not see where I would change the speedo calibrations
I am running calibrations file 176FM005-001
    And the SuperTuner software?

Any idea as to where I would find this setting?

I use powervision so it's completely different user interface.

just doing a quick read about the SERT and Race tuner and I can't find out how to do it, in fact it points to not been a feature of the race tuner, rather only for powervision and TTS.

post your question in the tuning section, would probably get a straight forward answer, if you had a powervision I could help you but I'm not familiar with the SERT sorry

I know I can just ride a bit faster, but if it can be fixed with the click of a few buttons, then why not?
I am getting more familiar with the SERT, and managed to set a lower idle speed on the weekend, when I was looking for the speedo settings :-)
