    1.2 MODIFICATIONS REQUIRING CERTIFICATION UNDER LA CODES
    The following is a summary of modifications that may be performed under Section LA:

    Fitting engines greater than 120% of original power and/or engine mass;

    Fitting performance engines;

    Fitting engines from non original equipment sources;

    Installing a supercharger or turbocharger; and

    Modifying the engine and engine components that results in an increase in engine power
    of more than 20% and/or affects exhaust emissions.

    Great list Speedzer -
    I think the "Govt " view is "any modification" will effect emissions.
    I have heard some "Govt people" won't approve a engine from a sedan that's put into a ute (example only)as even though the engine is an option for both cars -you need to prove that the emissions are ok -that gets expensive
    -I guess one way out of it is to use the cpu from the type vehicle your modifying -ie dyna would need a dyne cpu if the motor came from bagger- even though its as I understand it the same motor ( not the new water cooled engine).
    Basically they don't like modified vehicles.

    Okay... So I read that Govt off and the sections do not apply to motorcycles. I fall under section LA3 yet it explicitly excludes motorcycles....whew!
