ran this 103 today tataly stock with mild crane cam and 4 boost , 142 rwhp at 6200 rpm and 128 torque at 3600 rpm , was happy with results " border="0" src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif" /> would maybe go 150 with better tune and few more pound , but dont want this bike grenading on owner ,
thanks george , lot of fu----cking around with pipe work ,oil system etc , hope trip went well for your self and brian , you have to come and tell me about it , ,cheers
Nice effort as usual. Like to see the dyno sheet when you get a chance.
will put it up brendan , bike runs well ,but tune needs lot of work , suprised me what was in the eng , with mild cam ,but forced induction makes up a bit for for other inadequate areas , will also recheck boost , may back it of to 5 and leave it , may see you at bachusmarsh sunday car bike show
cool , that milling machine international 30 taper or 40 that mill, i use simliar one i have at work all the time , chopped weekend was good speedy , cost still over top to get in , but on the race course they had toilets etc , that was bonus , as last year zip . but cost was up $ 20 per head to $ 120 , acdc concert didnt cost any more to get in ,
the infeed is normal boiler makeing shit ". didnt read boost gauge properly hilly , was 4 pound boost ,not 7 , should have had my glasses on LOLit all fitted snug , ower back from fly in tonite to play with it
pic of bike out in the open , today 5 pound boost , 144 rwhp at 6200 limiter ,
couple little things hilly to do , but all good , owner ,say its exhibits attitude LOL, yep hes happy
the owner wanted basic stock eng , fitted small cam only , he wanted reliability and smooth running ,ithe bike pulls hard early peaked torque at 3400 128 ft and held that thru 5200 and still had 124 ft at 6000 rpm tussuck , 5 pound boost , i was happy with results and the owner very happy , less than half the cost of 120 r fitted by harley in bike , so he has lots of change in his pocket
This sounds like a great option, out of curiosity does he have to have it engineered for rego and insurance purposes???
Cheers...Sparra
no , he isnt worried about , but good point , sparra , he was chaseing tough look that others dont have , wasnt worried about all out performance either ,
I'm pretty sure Vic Roads allow a maximun of 20% power increase over stock before an engineers report is needed, so most bikes with pipes and a tune would be illegal anyway. The only thing is the Turbo is a little bit more obvious !
The 20% increase sounds familiar but I thought this related to 20% increase in engine displacement. This rings a bell to me as I went thru the engineering process with a wrx that went from 2 litres to just over 2.5 litres. And a gt35r turbo charger among a heap of other mods. But you can hide mods under the bonnet of a car and be discrete with painted inter coolers and custom bumper bars etc. My car was a real sleeper but the giveaway to the wolf in sheep's clothing was the sound of the external wastegate and the straight cut gears. That turbo'd Harley looks tough dynoharley, as does your own softail.
my own 106 is apart at moment ,and 124 bottom end in it now , cleaned up heads today ,all most back together , then to tidy up the pipe work , busy week fatbat ,has slowed down progress , should see 200 rwhp at about 6 psi boost ,
